The Scale
The Squeeze grades movies and video games on a
scale of zero to 10, 10 being the highest, zero the lowest.
Scores will only be broken down as far as the first decimal
place. To help you work out what a review means by a certain
score, here's the breakdown.
10
The perfect score. If you can see it or play it,
you should. Probably will not be given often.
9.9-9
Highly recommended. If you can see it or play it,
you should. Nothing is perfect, so if you see a 9, go for it.
8.9-8
Recommended. You don't have to rush out and see
it or play it, bu you should try it eventually.
7.9-7
Recommended, with reservations. The reviewer probably
liked the movie or game, or at least acknowledges that many
people would, but it may not be for everyone. If you don't see
or play it, you might have missed something you would have enjoyed.
Or you might not.
6.9-6
Not recommended. The reviewer probably did not
like it, or at least acknowledges that many people would not
like it. It definitely is not for everyone. Fans of a particular
genre or game style might get something out of it, but everyone
else could easily go without seeing or playing it.
5.9-0.1
Highy not recommended. This low, you shouldn't
waste your time to see it or play it, period. If you think something
with one of these scores is worth it, that's your money. Don't
blame us when you've found you've wasted it, though.
0
The opposite of the perfect score. Should probably
be destroyed. Probably will not be given often.
