Athletic Department holds sports banquet

The Seward County Athletic Department will hold it’s annual awards banquet on Friday, April 25.
The 2007-2008 Sports Awards Banquet will be held at 6 p.m. The banquet will take place in the Greenhouse on the campus of Seward County Community College.
The banquet will consist of a buffet style dinner followed by a guest speaker. Each coach will get a chance to introduce their players and assistant coaches and to give out team awards.
The coaches will also be recognized for their achievements during the 2007-2008 season.
This years guest speaker will be Jessica Trahan. Trahan was a member of the Lady Saints Basketball team from 1997 to 1999.
Trahan helped the Lady Saints win their first Region VI Tournament Championship in the histroy of Lady Saitnts Basketball.
Trahan is still in the Lady Saints record books. She is fourth in career three point shooting percentage, ninth in single-season three point shooting percentage, and tied for fifth place in single game three point field goals.
Trahan is currently an assistant coach at Kentucky Wesleyan University. She previously coached at Friends University and Southwestern College.
The cost of the banquet is $12 and all reservations must be made by April 18.

All athletes, cheerleaders, dancers, managers, and trainers will be recognized during the banquet.
