Sigma Chi Chi recently returned from a trip from Kansas City, Mo., where they competed in LAE Knowledge tests, Juvenile Justice tests, Corrections tests, Police Administration tests, Criminal Law tests, firearms competition, physical agility competitions and crime scene investigation competitions.
More than 450 students from different schools were there.
Sigma Chi Chi placed in two competitions. Beth Keating placed third in the Juvenile Justice test in the professional division and Seward County Community College students Monica Arrendondo, Rosa Deleon and Jose Sanchez placed third in the crime scene investigation.
“It was really fun and interesting,” Arrendondo said. “ I was glad that we got third place in crime scene investigation.”
Sigma Chi Chi student Eric Fisher also commented.
“We gave it our all, but with 450 students there, we didn't place much,” Fisher said. “Overall, though, I think the group did pretty decent.”
In their spare time, the students went to a Kansas City Royals vs. New York Yankees game, went shopping, and went to the dead body museum.
