Seven SCCC Students In Free Enterprise members are planning to take their finals early in order to compete in the SIFE National competition.
After placing first in the regional competition SIFE is getting the chance to continue competing. Nationals will take place May 12-13 in Chicago.
For the competitions SIFE had to present five of their projects from the year. The categories for their projects are Market Economics, Entrepreneurship, Business Ethics, Success Skills, Financial Literacy, and Sustainability.
They are judged on their presentation, how they present, the project they did, and their annual report.
The students are required to write their own presentations and create their own Power Points. The students also have the chance to update their projects before Nationals.
“The students want to make changes,” SIFE advisor Kim Thomas said. “There are things that can always be improved.”
