April 21, 2008

The Wellness Center is bringing a blood drive to campus from
10 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 30, upstairs in the student union room
SW229D. Everyone donating at the Seward County Community College
blood drive will receive a free T-shirt.
I think its for a good cause, and saves a lot of
lives. Hopefully we have a lot of people sign up to donate,
said Kara Owens, Wellness Center secretary.
The target number of donators is 70. Walk-ins are welcome, but
they are hoping to have more students, faculty, staff and community
members signed up than the 20 presently planning to give blood.
I have no reason not to give, and every reason to give,
stated Amy Knudsen, human resources clerk. Knudsen first gave
blood at a SCCC blood drive in 2005 and said she gives on a
regular basis now.
To set up an appointment contact the Wellness Center at 620-417-1140.
