The Wellness Center is bringing a blood drive to campus from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 30, upstairs in the student union room SW229D. Everyone donating at the Seward County Community College blood drive will receive a free T-shirt.
“I think it’s for a good cause, and saves a lot of lives. Hopefully we have a lot of people sign up to donate, “ said Kara Owens, Wellness Center secretary.
The target number of donators is 70. Walk-ins are welcome, but they are hoping to have more students, faculty, staff and community members signed up than the 20 presently planning to give blood.
“I have no reason not to give, and every reason to give,” stated Amy Knudsen, human resources clerk. Knudsen first gave blood at a SCCC blood drive in 2005 and said she gives on a regular basis now.
To set up an appointment contact the Wellness Center at 620-417-1140.
