The Kappa Beta Delta, induction took place Sept. 21. The ceremony was conducted and organized by current club president, Cristian Chavez.

Dr. Duane Dunn, college president, spoke during the ceremony. Dunn congratulated the new members, and encouraged them to continue putting forth effort to succeed.

“A little bit of extra effort in your business, in customer service, and even as a student. A little more study time might get you the better grade your looking for,” Dunn said.

Agriculture instructor/coordinator, Evan Winchester, presented an honorary membership to Fred Bloom. Bloom is a local agribuisnessman, who graduated from SCCC in 1976. Bloom was recognized for his business role in the community.

Kappa Beta Delta is an honorary business club, started last fall.

“Not many people know what Kappa Beta Delta is. This year I want to get the club involved in more campus activities, so that the students will know what our club is all about,” Chavez said.
