COFFEYVILLE-Kansas- After taking
a full week off for the Thanksgiving
holiday, the No. 3 ranked Lady Saints were back in action this
past
weekend in the Jayhawk Shootout. The Lady Saints (9-0, 0-0 in
the Jayhawk

College 76-42 for the second time this season and defeated the
host team
Coffeyville Community College 74-47 on Sunday.
In the Saints opening game of the Jayhawk Shootout they took on
Coffeyville Community College, a Jayhawk East school and the host
for the
tournament. The Lady Saints didn't have much trouble as they out
rebounded
Coffeyville 49-33 and forced 14 Coffeyville turnovers. All twelve
Lady
Saints played as they had three players reach double figures in
scoring.
The Lady Saints were led by sophomore Amanda Foster in scoring
as she had
19 points and also collected five rebounds. Sophomore Ewelina
Gad also had
a big game scoring a season high 18 points and grabbed five boards.

The Lady Saints final game Sunday came against a familiar opponent
as
they faced Fort Scott Community College. The Lady Saints defeated
Fort
Scott 99-51 at home in the Wendyís Classic on November
20 and the results
were similar as the Lady Saints had no problems with the Lady
Greyhounds
beating them by 34 this time around.
Also in this game each Lady Saint played and six players scored
in double
figures. Pegram once again led the team in scoring with 18 points
and
added ten rebounds for her first double/double of the season.
Sophomore
Amanda Foster came near a double/double as she scored 10 points
and
grabbed eight rebounds. Foster is now averaging 13.6 ppg and 7.1
rebounds
per game. Foster is second on the team in scoring and first on
the team in
rebounds.
The Lady Saints will be at home this weekend as they host the
Pizza Hut
Classic. The Lady Saints will welcome Northeastern Colorado on
Friday
night and State Fair Saturday evening, both games will begin at
6:00 p.m.
