The Lady Saints have not lost a game since Nov. 26, when the team fell to New Mexico, 60-71. Since that time, the Lady Saints have built up a No. 8 ranking (as of Jan. 21) in the NJCAA national polls with a nine-game winning streak. The Lady Saints are undefeated in conference play. At this just-past-halfway mark in the season, the Lady Saints are scoring 79.9 points per game to their opponents’ 53.1, which is a 26.8 point margin. The Lady Saints’ field goal percentage is .429, compared to their opponents’ .319. In fact, the Lady Saints lead their opponents in every recordable team statistic this season.

On Jan. 7, when the Saints and Lady Saints basketball teams played Colby in the Greenhouse, those elected into the 2012 Inagural Hall of Fame class were announced.
Because of users voting at Seward’s sports website, scccsaints.com, four individual players and one sports team were selected to the 2012 class.
Those selected are former Head Women’s Basketball Coach Jim Littell, Head Baseball Coach/Athletic Director Galen McSpadden, 2000-2002 Women’s Basketball player Kim Ortega, 2000-2002 Baseball player Cory Patton, and the 2001-2002 women’s basketball team.
The first official banquet will be held April 20.

The Lady Saints returned to the Greenhouse on Nov. 18 and 19 to play two games in two nights at the Billy’s/Days Inn Classic, emerging with a 7-0 record for the year. The South Plains Lady Texans and Frank Phillips Lady Plainsmen were both beat by the Lady Saints, losing 74-44 and 71-50, respectively.
On Nov. 18, the Lady Saints took off to a quick start, scoring field goal after field goal. By the first quarter of the game, Seward was up 17-0 while almost completely shutting down South Plains’ offense and running over their defense. Before the half was over, the Lady Plainsmen almost matched those 17 points, but not before the Lady Saints added 18 more points of their own. The two teams headed to the locker rooms with Seward...

The Lady Saints opened the season at home the weekend of Nov. 4-5, for a combined total of 170 points to their opponents’ 104 points in the Pepsi Classic at the Green House.
On Friday night, the Lady Saints beat Southwestern Christian of Terrel, Texas, 95-44.
The Lady Saints led 52-20 at the half but slowed down production ever so slightly after the the break.
Mariah Lee finished off the night with 24 points and 12 rebounds, followed by Kelsey Blair with 14 points and nine rebounds and Ashlynn Knoll with 10 points and seven rebounds.
On Saturday night, the Lady Saints took on and beat Air Force Prep of Colorado Springs, Colo., 75-60.

As the 2011 basketball season ends, the 2012 basketball season has some new faces in the Green house. The Seward County Lady Saints have five new Lady saints signed on for the next season. These players have high expectations, according to the coaches. Some of these players are from surrounding areas including Satanta and Elkhart and some of them are from Liberal.These players include: Payton Flemming A 5-foot-9 wing player from Elkhart who has high expectations as a freshman next season. During her senior season she averaged 20 points and eight rebounds per game while being named an Honorable Mention All-State performer.Quecia Parker A 5-foot-5 guard from Leavenworth that led the Sunflower League in assists this season.
